European Cluster Marketing Director

As European Marketing Director you will be in charge of defining the brand strategies and implementing & controlling the execution of mid- & long-term plans in line with  business priorities,  portfolio management and brand guidelines.

You will build marketing strategy & plans in collaboration with each distributor & with RC team on a 3 years basis, including all marketing 5 P’s, in collaboration with Area Managers, Maisons, Finance & Supply teams.

The European Marketing Director is the strategic interface between Remy Cointreau entities, and the markets.

Responsibilities

  • RTM: Responsible for establishing the brands strategies / initiatives based on Maisons guidelines, market insight, company priorities to grow the business & match ambition.
  • FUTURE GROWTH MARKETS: Contributes to the building of the 3-5Y plan with Managing Director, and Finance Director. In charge of building / managing the A&P budget for all the brands: Allocate the right amount and right split per type of expenditure by brand according to strategy.
  • PORTFOLIO MNGT : Lead portfolio strategy and client centricity in the cluster: leverage marketing intelligence (quantitative & qualitative) to identify the right target audiences & occasions across our portfolio & markets, and vs. competition
  • Clarify portfolio prioritization and role of each brand within each market, as a base for investment prioritization
  • Unlock portfolio potential in the cluster: Cointreau rejuvenation & share of heart boost, PHD malts & The Botanist transformation from niche to major brands in their categories, Metaxa rejuvenation and premiumization, build tailor-made marketing strategy & plans for RM & seeding portfolio: Louis XIII, Telmont, DHG, BDB, Westland.
  • Participate to strategic meetings & monthly business review with EMEA : build marketing action plan in collaboration with team.
  • Build 3Y marketing strategy & plans in collaboration with each distributor, on a 3 to 5 years basis – including assortment strategy, pricing strategy, distribution strategy, channel strategy, in collaboration with sales, finance & supply team; responsible for cluster A&P budgets construction
  • Drive and challenge distributor teams on a regularly basis (QBR, weekly meetings) on Key marketing initiatives performance => Optimized ROI on BTL activities YOY + media campaigns optimized results YOY (media performance & brand lift).
  • Frequent presence on the field to get insights / improve execution.
  • Ensure optimum collaboration & clear communication to build & implement plans, between marketing team and Europe’s other departments: sales, finance, supply, brand ambassadors, distributor marketing teams
  • Interface with each Maison for strategic alignment –and organize regular reporting on brand marketing plans & results to EMEA zone & Maisons
  • Manage cluster marketing team

Profil recherché

  • You have a minimum of 10 to 15 years of professional Marketing/ Sales experience, including at strategic & international level (Spirits, luxury or FMCG industry) with a successful people management experience,
  • You masters marketing strategy, as well as all marketing levers in their execution & evaluation,
  • You have strong leadership drive and attitude: client centric and result driven. Strong persuasion skills.
  • You are organized, structured, finance savvy (understanding of the role of marketing in optimizing brand P&L)
  • You are creative, engaged, high communication, analytical skills & fighting spirit and have team spirit.
  • IT Skills: Microsoft Office
