Trade Marketing
For a period of 18 months, based in New York and a start on September 1st, 2025
Rémy Cointreau, a French spirits group, is looking for a high-performing and innovative Trade Marketing VIE to work within its portfolio of exceptional brands. Each of these brands embodies unique expertise and heritage, while also sharing a dedication to terroir and a culture of excellence. Trade Marketing serves as the key link between the brand teams and the commercial organization. Trade Marketing’s role is crucial in making both sides of the business understand each other’s needs: for Marketing to build programs that will increase consumer pull-through and for Sales to execute those programs in the marketplace. This role will work closely with Brand Marketing, Field Marketing, and agency partners to develop brand activation programs that are innovative, consumer-focused, high-impact, grounded in commercial reality, and consistently executed across the United States.
This role sits in our New York, NY HQ where employees are expected to work a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week in the office.
The main responsibilities will be to:
Develop strategies and commercial planning that will deliver brand growth:
- Work with the brand marketing team and point-of-sale agency to create effective in-store displays that meet business goals. You’ll help with the planning of these displays from start to finish.
- Build good relationships with the sales team and consider their feedback when planning programs.
- Track and report on how well our marketing programs are doing and share what works best.
- Help with online sales programs and make sure our brand looks consistent across all online retailers.
- Look at regional sales data to understand how the business is doing, what challenges we face, and what opportunities we have.
- Support the execution of marketing programs in the market, you’ll be working with the brand teams.
- Share feedback from the sales team and trade to help create marketing programs that resonate with customers in bars, restaurants, and retail stores.
- Create sales materials (like sell sheets and presentations) to support the sales team.
- Help develop strategies for different types of retail channels (on-premise and off-premise) to attract both customers and businesses.
Manage the rollout and communication of commercial programming
- Share information about our marketing programs and playbooks clearly.
- Work with different teams (like Operations, Field Marketing, Sales, and Distributors) to help launch any special or limited-edition products.
- Support the presentation of brand programs to the sales teams.
- Help manage the marketing funds that go to the sales teams for their local marketing efforts.
- Help deliver the right marketing materials to local sales teams for our online sales programs.
- Track how well the sales teams are doing with our brand marketing programs and share the results.
- Collect feedback from local sales and field marketing teams on our programs to help us make them better.
Proactively innovate to find new solutions
- Utilize new and emerging technologies to help drive execution, improve compliance, and locate new business opportunities.
Profil recherché
PROFIL:
- You have a clear understanding of consumer marketing, promotional programming, and category/channel segmentation
- You can identify and leverage business opportunities with key customers
- You can sell in programs for a luxury portfolio to a distributor network and a commercial organization
- Having CPG marketing or commercial experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred
- Having exceptional planning skills with the ability to multi-task and deliver results within budget is preferred
